Mariah Dillard is Harlem’s Queen in Final Trailer for Marvel’s ‘Luke Cage’

“Harlem doesn’t need a hero. It needs a Queen.”

Ready or not, here she comes and she means business! We are talking about Alfre Woodard’s Mariah Dillard and her quest to be the Queen of Harlem in the final trailer for season 2 of Marvel’s Luke Cage.

In the trailer, we see Mariah faced with new threats to her so-called rule over Harlem. A new villain around town known as John McIver (aka. Bushmaster), played by new castmember Mustafa Shakir. Bushmaster comes fully equipped with super-strength and the ability to withstand bullets, just like the titular Luke Cage. Mariah is ready to rumble in order to protect her hold over her city.

From executive producer/showrunner Cheo Hodari Coker, the explosive second season of Marvel’s Luke Cage will kick off its 13-episode run with a premiere helmed by Lucy Liu. In addition to Colter, the series stars Simone Missick, Rosario Dawson, Theo Rossi, Alfre Woodard, Mustafa Shakir, Gabrielle Dennis and Annabella Sciorra.
