Norman Reedus’ Latest Instagram Post Will Bring Tears to Your Eyes

The Walking Dead has easily produced some of the best friendships in pop culture. They’ve grown together through a series unlike any other and they’ve formed lasting relationships because of the light that drives them on and off screen.

While no series or film is safe from the loss of characters, it seems that every goodbye that The Walking Dead makes us face is almost impossible. We’ve lost Hershel, Tyreese, Beth, Abraham, and Glenn – and that’s just naming a few. In recent seasons, it seems that the losses are hitting closer to home.

It makes the relationships between the cast that much more meaningful.

When Norman Reedus and Andrew Lincoln took on the roles of Rick Grimes and Daryl Dixon, there was a truly incredible bond built between them. Their characters had a rough start, but Rick and his group taught Daryl how to believe in something again. They gave him a reason to love again, not just other people, but himself.

Daryl’s character arc has been one of our favorites to watch, and Rick’s is no different. They’ve grown as individuals and as leaders, as friends and as family, and they’ve become a force to be reckoned with in a world that bets against their survival.

After reports surfaced that Andy would be leaving after season 9, fans were at a loss. It’s hard to imagine the series without him. It all started with Rick Grimes. We’ve experienced the zombie apocalypse through his eyes in a way. It’s been a journey and we can’t imagine what it’ll be like without him.

Fans aren’t the only ones who are feeling this way, either. In an Instagram post just a few hours ago, Norman Reedus shared a fan favorite photo of himself and Andrew with a simple heart as a caption.

It’s a testament to their friendship, on-screen and off. To their story within The Walking Dead and outside of it. It’s a moment in time where the two were reunited on screen, one that meant a lot to fans of the series.

You can see Andrew and Norman in The Walking Dead when it returns to AMC this fall.
