We’re just two weeks away from Solo: A Star Wars Story‘s world premiere at Cannes, but thanks to Disney, we’ve been giving a brand new look into the film’s universe.
In the below two-minute featurette, we get to see exciting footage of the film combined with interviews from the cast including Alden Ehrenreich, Donald Glover and Emilia Clarke as well as from film director Ron Howard.
Glover, who plays a young version of Lando Calrissian teases, “We’re meeting Han right before he becomes the Han that we know!”
Ehrenreich says the film is, “part of the great expansion of the Han Solo world.”
Though fans already know and love the characters in the film, Howard promises surprises by saying, “the Star Wars universe that we see in Solo is different from anything else that we’ve seen in any previous Star Wars movies,” while also ensuring fans know those familiar key “Han Moments” will still be shown. He continues, “Those first encounters with Chewbacca, with the Millennium Falcon, with Lando Calrissian — they’re in this movie!”

Before the film is released into theaters, it will be making its official debut at Cannes Film Festival on May 15th.
Solo: A Star Wars Story, which will take place several years prior to the era explored in A New Hope, is described by the studio as follows:
