Get out your leg warmers and crank up that 80s music!  The Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling are ready to take the ring once again in Netflix’s hit original series GLOW!

The streaming service announced on Wednesday that glittery, glam comedy series would be making it’s triumphant return for season 2 this summer on Friday, June 29th, one week later than the first season premiered in 2017.

The first season was well received by fans of the original 1986 wrestling series as well as first-time watchers alike.  The series was officially renewed for its second season in August of 20107.

GLOW stars Alison Brie as Ruth Wilder/Zoya the Destroyer, a struggling actress who takes a leap of faith on a new project called GLOW which turns out to be exactly where she belongs. Betty Gilpin plays Debbie Eagan/Liberty Bell, a former actress turned first-time mom who gets drawn back into her craft when she learns the dramatics behind the wrestling world and Marc Maron plays Sam Sylvia, the director pulling the whole production together.

According to Netflix’s press release, “Season 2 follows the women of GLOW as they become local celebrities, confronting the good, the bad, and the ugly realities of their newfound fame. As Ruth (Brie) and Debbie (Gilpin) settle into the day-to-day of making a season of TV together, they confront lingering issues at the heart of their friendship. Sam (Maron) is still Sam, but now he has a teenage daughter living with him and twenty episodes to churn out. The wrestling is harder, the stakes are higher, and the hair is even bigger.”
