Fan Fest Chicago: Chandler Riggs and Katelyn Nacon Panel Highlights
For the weekend of April 6-8th, the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center became home to pop culture fanatics. From The Walking Dead to Arrow and Riverdale, the cast of some of the biggest shows in entertainment got to meet some of their biggest fans.
From photo ops and autograph lines to cosplay and panels, there was a lot to look forward to in Chicago this weekend.
One of the most anticipated panels was that of Chandler Riggs and Katelyn Nacon. Fans may not have seen that last on-screen interaction between the two, at least – not the one we all wanted. We did, however, get to see them reunited for this panel.
They talked about their first scene in the series together and how they were a bit awkward, seeing as they were strangers at that point.

During the panel, a fan proposed to his girlfriend on stage. Katelyn was, quite honestly, all of us while she waited for the now fiance’s response.

Katelyn and Chandler discussed more firsts on set, like when they learned to roller skate on the series. It gained a lot of laughs on stage and in the audience.

On a more somber note, Katelyn shared with fans what helped her form that heartwrenching reaction to losing Carl. It’s something she channels within herself and it gets very personal.

Chandler was asked what scenes from the comics he wished he was able to act out during the series. His response? All of them!

Chandler took a moment to shout out a fan that couldn’t make it to the convention as well.
