Marvel’s Finest Heroes Unite to Bring Greetings to a Sick Child

The definition of a hero is as follows.

1. a person noted for courageous acts or nobility of character:

2. a person who, in the opinion of others, has special achievements, abilities, or personal qualities and is regarded as a role model.

The second definition is often the first idea that pops into one’s mind when they hear the word. They’re super people, ones with special abilities, ones who save the world with their superhuman powers.

However, when we’re talking about heroes right now, we’re certainly referring to the first definition. When this tweet by Shannon Bream went live, within hours, some of the best heroes in pop culture responded to figure out how to help.

Two of the first were Chris Evans and Ryan Reynolds. Both have proven to be heroes on and off screen. Devoting time and effort to multiple charities and reaching out to children who need a reason to smile.

Reynolds joked that he was more of a ‘Reserve Avenger’ but that he’d be happy to help.

Evans also quickly responded that he was happy to help. With the urgency of the Tweet and situation, the quick response warmed our hearts.

Soon after, more heroes tweeted in response to Shannon and offered to send messages as well. Everyone from Don Cheadle and Chloe Bennet to Paul Bettany and Benedict Wong shared their desire to help Emelio.

While these heroes put on a brave face in film and on television, it’s the acts of kindness and generosity like these that make them stand out amongst the rest. Those acts are also the reason that so many kids, and even adults, look up to these actors and actresses.

The outpouring of support is only continuing to grow. You can check out who else has offered to help by taking a look at the Twitter thread under Shannon’s tweet.
