‘The Walking Dead’: Lauren Cohan in Negotiations for Season 9
Spoiler Alert-Do not read ahead unless you are caught up with the most recent episode of The Walking Dead!
——————————————————–
When rumblings hit the web last week that Lauren Cohan was entertaining several series pilot offers this pilot season, we were a little concerned.
Well, we can hopefully begin to put those worries aside now, because according to TVLine, she is back in negotiations for season 9 with AMC.
We know that Maggie’s storyline is becoming more and more prevalent and will most likely involve her taking over for Rick as the main leader in the back half of season 8. We are hoping to see some justice now that Carl has been bitten and will likely die when the show returns, and that it will involved the downfall of Negan, finally.
If Maggie ended up killed off this season, it would be a huge detriment to the show, so we are relieved to hear this news.
What we’re hearing? Lauren has entered active negotiations to extend her contract through the 9th season and possibly longer. She also has not indicated to AMC that she wants to leave. Phew!
Production for season 9 is set to begin in May.
