Gal Gadot Humbly Weighs in on ‘Wonder Woman’ Oscars Snub

The nominees for the 90th annual Academy Awards were announced earlier this week and superhero fans were completely shocked to find that the biggest film of the year was completely and totally snubbed.

Despite breaking all kinds of records and its tremendous performance at the box office, Wonder Woman got no love from the Oscars but, according to film star Gal Gadot, it’s no big deal.

Entertainment Tonight caught up with Gadot on Revlon’s Live Boldly Campaign event red carpet in New York City on Wednesday and asked her about the Oscars.  In her response, she says that winning awards was never their reason for making the film in the first place.  The fans loved it and that’s all that matters to Gadot.  She said:

“I was very moved and touched by the people who were disappointed that Wonder Woman wasn’t nominated, but we certainly never did the movie for that.  I think that you can’t have it all. We’ve done this movie and it was received in such an amazing, wonderful way, and we want to stay humble and grateful, and we’re going to have another movie, so who knows? Maybe the next one!”
