Chris Hemsworth and Taika Waititi Have Already Discussed ‘Thor 4’
Thor: Ragnarok not only made huge box office bucks, it was highly praised by critics – receiving a 92 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Naturally, Thor will return in Avengers: Infinity War (opening this May) and Avengers 4, however, Chris Hemsworth’s days as the God of Thunder may be over due to the fact that his contract is set to end after the fourth film, which Hemsworth just completed.
That did not stop he and Ragnarok director Taika Waititi from discussing a possibly fourth Thor film – on New Year’s Eve! “We gave cheers to Thor 3. But it also was like what could we do with four? We could do this and this. We were throwing ideas around,” Hemsworth told USA Today. “But also, just to work together again. That was one of the most enjoyable creative partnerships I’ve ever had.”
“It just depends on how The Avengers (movies) all wrap up,” he continued. “I finished shooting and now they are going to edit it and see how the stories play out. There are so many interwoven scenes and stories and characters.” Hemsworth – who’s next film is 12 Strong – ended the interview by adding, “(Thor 4) is a conversation for further down the road, if it happens.”
Thor: Ragnarok will be available for purchase in Digital HD February 20th and on Blu-Ray/DVD March 6th.
