The How to Get Away with Scandal Crossover is Officially Happening!
Well, well, well Shondaland fans, looks like TGIT just got a whole lot more exciting!
Scandal star Kerry Washington just took the popular night of leading lady television to a whole new level earlier today when she posted a photo of her sitting in a popular How to Get Away With Murder set in all of her Olivia Pope glory.
Hey Ms @violadavis ❤️ check it out. This spot look familiar?! Where are you? https://t.co/JFdiCTmbFs pic.twitter.com/OcLdXtS9Nz

In her caption, she asks How to Get Away with Murder Star Viola Davis where she is, so of course, Davis had to share her own little photo of Annalise Keating standing in front of Mellie’s desk in the Scandal Oval Office.

While the two had basically just confirmed the How to Get Away With Scandal crossover that fans had long been hoping to see before Scandal ends this spring, nothing is official until the TGIT visionary herself says so. Well, soon after Rhimes took to her own social media to confirm the epic meeting of these two with a photo of the script showing the exact moment these iconic ladies cross paths.
People. It’s happening. @petenowalk, you ready for this? #TGITCrossover #HowtoGetAwaywithScandal pic.twitter.com/laROhxbeu8

“People. It’s happening. @petenowalk, you ready for this? #TGITCrossover #HowtoGetAwaywithScandal,” Rhimes captioned the photo.
This event will mark the first time that the current TGIT lineup, which also includes ABC staple Greys Anatomy, will be crossing over. Back in the day, Greys often crossed over with Private Practice, which was a spinoff that followed Neonatal surgeon Addison Montgomery (Kate Walsh).
Are you excited for these two ladies to meet? Sound off in the comments below! Scandal and How to Get Away With Murder both return on Thursday, Jan. 18 at 9 and 10 p.m.
Having studied Media & Writing at James Madison University, I always knew that I wanted to do some type of creative writing, but being able to write about zombies, Starks, and superheroes on a daily basis for Fan Fest is my actual dream. While I probably shouldn’t be as proud as I am to be so similar to Nick Miller, I do hope to one day write my own “Pepperwood Chronicles’.
