The Pop Culture World Thanks Stan Lee as he Celebrates 95th Birthday

It’s hard to imagine a world without the X-Men, Spider-Man, and the Hulk. It seems impossible to imagine pop culture without the legendary heroes and their rich stories. The MCU wouldn’t be the same without the integral characters we’ve seen come to life on page and on screen, and there’s one important man behind more of them than we can list.

Stan Lee.

Lee has created, with the help of Jack Kirby and Steve Ditko, over 350 superheroes in his lifetime – and with superpowers come flaws. He didn’t create larger than life figures that saved the day and were hailed as perfect. In saving the world, these heroes often risk their own lives and loved ones to ride the fine line between what’s right and what’s wrong. How far do you go to keep the good guys good and to take the bad guys down?

These stories have been born and reborn and today, we celebrate not only the career but the birth of Stan Lee. As he turns 95, celebrities he’s worked with, fans of his talent, and people around the pop culture realm are sending him their best wishes and their thanks.

Chris Evans called Stan the ‘one and only’ and rightfully so. Stan is a legend in his own making. No matter what he faced, he never stopped creating, he never gave up on these heroes and their impact.

Mark Ruffalo posted a photo of Stan Lee next to an issue of The Incredible Hulk and Marvel’s Greatest Superhero Battles.

Don Cheadle joined in with a birthday wish of his own.

Kevin Feige included a statement Marvel fans absolutely love in his Tweet. #SoManyMoreCameosToCome.

Speaking of cameos, we absolutely can’t wait to see how Stan Lee appears in the Avengers: Infinity War movie in May. With a film that big, it’s bound to be legendary.

Happy birthday, Stan Lee, you’ve given us a lifetime of entertainment, and more importantly, motivation to create, create, and to keep creating.
