In just a few short months, Roseanne and the whole Conner family will be back on our televisions. And we mean the WHOLE family!
One of the major mysteries surrounding the Roseanne revival is the presence of her husband, Dan (played by John Goodman). Fans will recall that, in the very last episode before going off the air in 1997, that Dan tragically suffered a heart attack and died.
For the revival series, however, it has been confirmed by ABC Entertainment president Channing Dungey that, while the show won’t completely ignore all that happened in that finale episode, Goodman’s character will be alive and well.
It’s going to be interesting to see how the revival handles Dan’s resurrection. As it turns out, we may have just gotten a sneak peek at some of the humor we can expect from the series relating to Dan’s death. ABC released a brand new promo for the upcoming revival and it’s a direct nod to Dan’s character being alive.
“You can’t live in the past, Dan,” Roseanne tells Dan and Becky (played by Lecy Goranson). “When things are gone, they’re gone forever.”

Two additional promos released show Dan watching a football game (or is he?) and Roseanne pestering dan Dan and their daughter Darlene (played by Sara Gilbert) while watching another game. Check them out:
Roseanne will feature the original cast members Roseanne Barr (Roseanne), John Goodman (Dan), Laurie Metcalf (Jackie) and Sara Gilbert (Darlene), Michael Fishman (DJ) and Lecy Goranson (Becky). Sarah Chalke, who also played the role of Becky in the later season, will also return but in a different role. Special guest stars for the revival season include original series regulars Sandra Bernhard and Johnny Galecki.
The Roseanne revival series returns to ABC March 27, 2018 at 8 PM. Will you be tuning in? Let us know your thoughts about the series in the comment section below.
