The ‘Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again’ Trailer Has Arrived!
We’ve been waiting for nearly ten years and now that the trailer for Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again has arrived, it’s safe to say that our patience paid off because it looks absolutely perfect!
Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again is putting a creative spin on the story of Sophie and Donna and all of the hilarious characters in their lives by taking us back to a young Donna (played by Lily James) discovering and eventually running, a small inn in Greece and the three young hunks she meets along the way.
The film will also jump back to the present time to update us on the lives of Sophie (Amanda Seyfried), Sky (Dominic Cooper), Sophie’s three possible fathers Sam (Pierce Brosnan), Harry (Colin Firth), and Bill (Stellan Skarsgård) and of course the always delightful Christine Baranski. Plus, the trailer offers a brilliant and epic introduction to Cher, who will be playing Donna’s mother and Sophie’s grandmother.

The first film was based on the beloved Broadway show Mamma Mia! so the sequel is now heading into original territory with a fresh plot and a whole new slew of Abba songs to use. “The movie’s better than the original because there’s a depth to it that only comes from time,” Seyfried told EW earlier this year.
Mamma Mia!: Here We Go Again hits theaters July 20, 2018.
