‘Olaf’s Frozen Adventure’ is Leaving the Coco Screening & Here is Why

Olaf’s Frozen Adventure was something I was looking forward too. If you’re like me, you’ll have to make your way to the theaters now, before it’s too late. Olaf’s Frozen Adventure’s screened before Coco, the Mexican Day of the Dead inspired Disney film. EW has learned that the unsuccessfulness of this cute short film isn’t just the response to weak audience response.

The website Mashable was the first source to report that Olaf’s Frozen adventure would end it’s run on December 8. The conclusion came from a movie theater worker on Reddit that received a note from Disney concerning the short film.

“Please note that the run of Olaf’s Frozen Adventure playing before Coco will end after 12/7. Starting on Friday 12/8 no more Olaf shorts should be up on the screen. With the extra 22 minutes of running time back, we would appreciate if you could get in an extra show if possible.”

A representative of Disney responded to EW and told them;

“This was always promoted as a limited run so it’s not really a story — the end of our Olaf theatrical play is coming next week. All our ads and messaging called it as such.”

Olaf’s Frozen Adventure runs for 22 minutes until December and would have been the first Disney animated short film to be screened before a Pixar movie. What do you think? Are they right to shorten the run of Olaf’s Frozen adventure? Let us know
