As you can see, the poster has a Thanksgiving side to it and of course, this holiday is all about family. With the first Deadpool movie, they used Valentines Day in their marketing and Thanksgiving very briefly. It does make sense that they would do it again with another holiday.

Do you see something familiar with this poster?

That’s right! The Deadpool poster seems inspired by a Norman Rockwell painting. We just love how they brought all the essential characters together for this poster, smiling and in peace. Josh Brolin’s Cable is at the head of the table, while Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) is serving up the turkey.

Have you noticed the picture in the frame on the wall? Take a closer look, and you’ll see that Stan Lee is watching over them all. He’s even appearing on posters now!

Ryan Reynolds also just shared that he cooked the turkey with only a Zippo lighter. Oh, Ryan Reynolds, you’re a marketing genius!

Because we now officially know that the marketing campaign began, we cannot wait to see what comes next. Shortly after the release of the poster, there came another very festive announcement. Ryan Reynolds released the front page for Good Housekeeping on his Instagram. You read that right, the magazine that has recipes for the holidays got a Deadpool twist.

“My secret to a proper stuffing? Gentle hands, heavy eye contact, and bundles of thyme. #DeadHouseKeeping #Deadpool”

The whole page has funny taglines like ‘Giving Your Family The Bird‘ and ‘This the season to put the ‘fun’ back in ‘dysfunctional.

Would you get a copy? I know I would!

Deadpool 2 will hit the theaters June 1, 2018.
