WATCH: ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ Cast Surprises an Unsuspecting Theater Audience with a Live Performance

Thor: Ragnarok premiered nationwide this weekend and fans have been flocking to theaters in droves to see this latest Marvel film.  One set of moviegoers got much more than they bargained for when they attended an advanced screening earlier this week in a small theater in Los Angeles.

Their viewing experience started out just like any other.  Fans began to file in grabbing some popcorn and other goodies at the concession stand before finding their seats inside the theater.  The movie had only just started when the screen suddenly went blank just seconds before The Late Late Show‘s James Corden appeared on the movie screen welcoming the audience to, “the future of 4D entertainment.”

Just then, the real-life Corden walked out on to the stage taking his place behind a podium as a team of stagehands began setting up props and scenery.  At this point, it’s safe to say the audience was completely perplexed by what they were witnessing.

Corden showed the audience a large, novel version of Thor: Ragnarok and he began to read aloud to them from the book.  As Corden described the film’s titular character, Chris Hemsworth, dressed as Thor, walked out on the stage, hammer and all.  The audience erupted with cheers and excitement as Hemsworth was soon also joined by Tom Hiddleston (Loki), Cate Blanchett (Hela), Jeff Goldblum (The Grandmaster), Mark Ruffalo (Hulk), and Tessa Thompson (Valkyrie).

The cast of characters then began to perform a version of the film which no one has or ever will see again.  Check out the Thor Ragnarok 4D performance below!

Thor: Ragnarok is now playing in theaters nationwide.  Have you seen the film yet?  If you have, what did you think of it?  What do you think of James Corden’s 4D production version?  Let us know your thoughts in the comment section below!
