Alison Brie and the Cast of ‘GLOW’ Share First Images from Season 2 Production

The Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling are back at it once more!  Netflix’s hit series GLOW is back in production and the cast is beginning to flood Instagram with some fun behind-the-scenes photos and videos from the set of season 2.

The series premiere in June of 2017 and was well received by fans of the original 1986 wrestling series as well as newcomers alike.  By August, the series had been officially renewed for its second season.  GLOW stars Alison Brie as Ruth Wilder/Zoya the Destroyer, a struggling actress who takes a leap of faith on a new project called GLOW which turns out to be exactly where she belongs.  Betty Gilpin plays Debbie Eagan/Liberty Bell, a former actress turned first-time mom who gets drawn back into her craft when she learns the dramatics behind the wrestling world and Marc Maron plays Sam Sylvia, the director pulling the whole production together.

Together, along with a phenomenal supporting cast, the group ventures into a world where female wrestling meets larger than life characters and theatrics with glitter, glitz and glamour.

The cast has reassembled for season two and is sharing their hard work (and play) via their social media accounts.  Just this week Alison Brie shared the first photo of herself and Betty Gilpin in full GLOW make-up and hairstyles.  Gilpin appears to be dressed in full-on Liberty Bell costume as well.  Check out the cool behind-the-scenes pic below from Brie’s Instagram:

Breakout star Britney Young plays Carmen Wade/Machu Picchu on the series.  Her character is wrestling royalty since her father is a super famous and established wrestler in the industry.  Young shared a sneak peek at her Machu costume from season 2:

Jackie Tohn plays Melanie Rosen/Melrose who is the party girl of the bunch.  She shared another full costume look from the set. “Sequins and fishnets and crystals, oh my!”

Young also shared an impressive look at the training which the cast endures before each season.  Before filming season 1, the cast went through about a month of training learning how to execute each wrestling move safely and realistically.  Here’s a video of Young pulling off a killer looking clothesline:

If there was any doubt that these ladies are pumped and strong in real life, Alison Brie put that doubt to bed with her latest Instagram post.  She posted a video of herself in total beast mode doing some serious strength training exercises:
