The brand new Star Wars: The Last Jedi trailer dropped last week and the internet has not stopped buzzing about it! The trailer was jam-packed with fan-pleasing action and some mind-blowing moments. If you haven’t seen the trailer yet, please, PLEASE, click on over HERE and watch it right now. It’s worth it!
In addition to the trailer, a brand new film poster was also released just ahead of the drop. The poster features all our favorite characters from the franchise including Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill), Rey (Daisy Ridley), Kylo Ren (Adam Driver), General Leia Organa (Carrie Fisher), Finn (John Boyega), Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac) and more.
The art is truly stunning and we love seeing our favorite characters looking so menacing and badass but, some fans on the internet noticed that there may be more than initially meets the eye here. Some eagle-eyed fans noticed if you look closely at the positioning and placement of each character and how they all come together, you will start to see a mysterious and yet totally familiar face begin to form. Take a good look at the poster below. Can you see it? Look harder!
Fans have noticed that there may be a hidden subliminal image of the one and only Darth Vader lurking within the poster. If you’re having some difficulties seeing Vader’s figure, check out the computer-generated visual aid below from The Inverse:
The discovery of the figure has opinions from the Star Wars fandom on the internet split. Some fans think it may have been done intentionally in order to represent both the light and dark sides. Others think that some fans are looking too far into the art and finding an outline of something that isn’t there. We most likely won’t know the truth until the film is released.
What do you think of the poster? Were you able to see Darth Vader’s outline in the original picture? Do you think the outline is placed there on purpose or is this just another crazy internet theory? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section below!
Star Wars: The Last Jedi will hit theaters on December 15th! Are you ready?
