We are just over a week away from the premiere of the highly anticipated CBS All Access series Star Trek: Discovery. The series promises to be an updated version of beloved classic while also holding true to aspects of the series which fans hold near and dear to their hearts.
One of the most recognizable aspects of the franchise is the iconic theme music. That sweet and spacey sounding theremin kicks in and you just automatically know, it’s Star Trek. For Star Trek: Discovery, the iconic tune is getting an upgrade with some solid influences from the original and we absolutely love it!
The new theme starts off with a clear nod to Alexander Courage’s original song and then it becomes this beautiful full-blown orchestral brilliance which transports you into the world of Star Trek. Composter Jeff Russo really does a fantastic job. Take a listen to the new Star Trek: Discovery main title below:
We can’t wait to begin on that journey with Star Trek: Discovery! The series will premiere on September 24th on CBS!
