New Funko Pop! Figures Feature Bob Ross and His Furry Animal Friends!

Earlier this summer, Funko made all of our lives just a little more colorful when they announced that a Bob Ross Funko Pop! figure would be added to their collection.

For those who may not know, Bob Ross hosted an instructional painting television series which ran from 1983 to 1994 on PBS.   In just 30 minutes, you could watch this masterful artist create beautiful nature scenes with incredible effortlessness.  Each painting was filled with “happy little trees” and of course, every tree had a buddy because, as Ross often quoted, “everyone needs a friend.”

In addition to being an impeccable artist, Ross was also a huge animal advocate.  On his show, he often spoke of rescued animals that he was rehabilitating and even occasionally would bring some of his little furry friends into the studio with him.  In one particular episode, he brought in some little squirrels who had been abandoned and which he was nursing back to health.

In honor of Ross’ admiration and devotion to his furry little friends, Funko has announced a brand new set of Pop! figures featuring the artist.  This time, however, Ross is joined by his forest friends.

Three new versions of figures will include Ross holding one of his iconic painting accompanied by a raccoon, an owl and, of course, Peapod, his little squirrel friend.  As an added bonus, for those who loved his PBS program, there is also a figure available featuring Ross in overalls, a painters hat and with his oversized paint brush in hand.  Fans will remember the oversized paint brush from the very beginning of each episode.

Check out the new Pop! figures in the gallery below.  You can find out more information on how you can take Bob Ross home with you on the Funko website.  What do you think of the new Pop! figures?  Will you be adding these to your collection?  Let us know your thoughts in the comment section below!
