The First Full Clip of ‘Blade Runner 2049′ Shows Ryan Gosling Meeting Lennie James in a Dystopian Sweatshop

Over the weekend, we finally got our first extended look at the upcoming Blade Runner 2049 and it looks amazing!

So far, the trailers for the film have been filled with stunning visuals and cinematography, however, the plot of the film has been kept under wraps.  While the newly released clip still doesn’t give us much in terms of story line, we do get to see some new sights!

Check out the clip below:

In the clip, we get to see Officer K (played by Ryan Gosling) as he stumbles upon what appears to be a dystopian child labor factory.  We get our first extended look at Lennie James (The Walking Dead) whose character is overseeing the child labor operation.  He offers Officer K the chance to purchase any one of the children that he sees before him, however, when James’ character finds out that Gosling is an officer, he begins to panic saying that men bigger than him have tried to shut down his operation.  But what does this all mean?  Chalk this up as another question regarding the film’s plotline.

What we do know is Gosling’s character, Officer K is a LAPD agent who unearths a secret that has the potential to completely destroy all that is left of society.  In an attempt to stop the catastrophe from happening, this discovery leads him to Rick Deckhard (Harrison Ford) who has been missing for 30 years.

In addition to Gosling, Ford, and James, the film also co-stars Dave Bautista, Jared Leto, Robin Wright, Ana De Armas, MacKenzie Davis, Sylvia Hoeks, and Carla Juri.  Denis Villeneuve (Arrival) is on board to direct.  Blade Runner 2049 will hit theaters on October 6, 2017.
