Kelly Clarkson Returns to Her Soulful Roots with Two New Songs, Announces New Album Release Date
Kelly is back! Earlier this week, Kelly Clarkson teased the release of her first new single Love So Soft and today is that joyous day! As it turns out, Clarkson had an extra special surprise in store for fan son her single release day. Not only did she drop a brand new video for Love So Soft but she also released a second single Move You and announced the release date of her upcoming new album Meaning of Life. You can get both songs by pre-ordering her new album or as an instant download through iTunes.

Clarkson is super pumped for this album release. She took to her social media pages to express her excitement by calling this record the album she’s always wanted to make:
This release of new music is the first for Clarkson under her new label Atlantic Records which she joined in June of 2016. It’s been 14 months since she has released new music since her seventh album Piece by Piece dropped in 2015 under her previous record label RCA Records. Clarkson had been contracted under RCA Records since her win on American Idol. She spoke about the label switch by saying, “After winning American Idol there was an arranged marriage that occurred that sometimes worked out and sometimes resulted in the hardest experiences of my life. As an artist, American Idol gave me something that was incredible, an audience and a platform before even releasing music.”
She continued, “Although I am extremely thankful to the amazing people that I’ve had the chance to work with, I cannot describe the excitement of working with Julie Greenwald, Craig Kallman and their team at Atlantic Records. The loyalty, innovation, and creativeness that Atlantic Records has been consistently bringing to the music industry is incredibly exciting for any artist to be a part of! We have already started creating a record that I have been wanting to make since I was a little girl and a record that fans have been asking me to make for years. Here’s to the future!”
