Chris Pine Slated to star in Hulu Series as Robert F. Kennedy

Chris Pine has played some incredible roles in his history. From James T. Kirk and Franklin FDR Foster to Steve Trevor himself, he’s brought amazing characters to the big screen and made an impact on multiple genres of film and television.

So when it was announced today that Hulu has a limited series in the works on the life of Robert F. Kennedy, fans were immediately excited to see Pine’s name attached to the project. So far, almost nothing is known about the currently untitled series, but The Hollywood Reporter did say it’s based on Larry Tye’s biography titled Bobby Kennedy: The Making of a Liberal Icon.

The biography is centered around interviews with friends and family as Kennedy’s journey from Attorney General and the help he provided to his brother during his administration to his own campaign in 1968 up to his assassination. There are also unreleased documents, government files, and papers belonging to Kennedy that help shape The Making of a Liberal Icon.

Todd E. Kessler will be writing the adaptation of the biography for the Hulu series and no date has been set for production yet, but we imagine it won’t be long before more information is released.

Until then, fans of Pine can look forward to seeing him in another limited series, One Day She’ll Darken, soon on TNT.
