Gorilla Grodd to Appear on Legends of Tomorrow

Executive Producer Marc Guggenheim confirmed during a Television Critics Association panel that Gorilla Grodd will be appearing in season 3 of Legends of Tomorrow. He will be recruited by Damien Darhk, who will spearhead a new team of villains. Guggenheim explains that this team will have a rotating roster of villains, so it’s not likely that Grodd will stick around for the entirety of the season.

Grodd’s appearance on Legends will not be a direct pick-up from The Flash‘s “Gorilla City” two-parter. He will be a post-Gorilla City Grodd, though, so still just as hostile as ever. The real question is when in time will Grodd come from. Who knows what kind of Grodd we might get in the future. The Flash frequently alluded to King Kong during Grodd feature episodes, so I wonder if we might get a Planet of the Apes type situation. The Legends did break time, after all.

Legends of Tomorrow kicks off its third season Tuesday, October 10, on The CW.
