Starz Developing ‘Ascendant’ TV Series

So it looks the Divergent series will be living on in a TV format.

Deadline reported this week that Starz is reportedly developing the Ascendant television series. The announcement comes after the news last year that the fourth movie in the Divergent franchise will no longer be made, and there is an option for continuing the series on the small screen as the partnership between the premium cable network, and Lionsgate continues. Adam Cozad and Leo Toland Krieger are set to executive produce while the former is set to write, and the latter is set to direct.

It has not been announced whether the original cast will reprise their roles to jumpstart the Starz series. It would be interesting to see the stars return after responses from certain member’s of the cast about a possible television continuation at the time of the third film’s release.

What do you think of a possible Ascendant television show? Would you watch?
