‘The Walking Dead’: Daryl and Carol Go to War in New Set Photo

The battle may be over, for now, but the war is far from won. The first photo from the eighth season of AMC’s The Walking Dead has been released and from the looks of it, it looks as though two of our favorite survivors are reading for war.

Although we are not sure of their current location, this photo is just what we needed to get that hype going once again for this upcoming season.

Showrunner Scott Gimple recently interview with EW, where he talked about how the character interactions are going to be quite different at the start of the season:

“The season finale last year, seeing all the characters together interacting as one, was thrilling. It was exciting to see all these configurations of characters we hadn’t seen before. Even Aaron merely giving Jerry an apple felt satisfying. This is that times a million. Though it would be cool if the season began with just everybody giving each other apples. I’d be down with that. But it’s not that.”

Although we don’t quite know who is going to be safe or the show’s next major casualty, we do know that we will be guaranteed a major war.

“Yeah, it’s a big, big show,” Steven Ogg stated. “I mean I really didn’t think about the one hundred thingso much as it’s, where it says it’s all out war, you definitely get that. Oh yeah. It’s all out war.”

it.”

The Walking Dead will debut its Season 8 trailer at San Diego Comic Con, and will return in the fall.
