Alien: Covenant DVD Details Have Been Revealed

If you haven’t seen Alien: Covenant yet, this news is for you. Ridley’s Scott’s sixth instalment in the Alien franchise will burst onto shops shelves on August 15th, 2017 – just in time for summer.

The film, starring Michael Fassbender and Katherine Waterson, sees the crew of Covenant waking up from cryo-sleep approximately seven years too early, disrupting their colonising mission to Origae-6. Due to a mysterious transmission, the crew head to an uncharted paradise where we see the return of the horrifying Xenomorphs and Facehuggers.

Alien-Covenant.com – a fan portal for the film – provide a rundown on what to expect on the DVD.

“The special features include theatrical trailers for the film, an audio commentary by Ridley Scott, nearly 18 minutes of footage from 12 Deleted and Extended Scenes, David’s illustrations from his time on Paradise, 5 Featurettes which were used throughout Covenant’s marletint; Meet Walter, Phobos, The Last Supper, The Crossing and Advent. There is also a special Master Class: Ridley Scott featurette which clocks in at nearly an hour.”

In celebration of the release of Covenant on home entertainment, Target have revealed their limited edition and exclusive triple pack (Blu-Ray, DVD and Digital) containing a curated booklet that includes stunning artwork from the film.

Best Buy and UK retailer HMV have also announced a special Steel book Blu-Ray edition, featuring a new-born Neomorph on the cover.

Alien: Covenant is also available for pre-order on DVD at Amazon and will be released on August 15 (US) and to be announced in the UK.
