Andrew Kreisberg Confirms Lena Luthor Doesn’t Know Kara’s Secret
The season two finale of Supergirl left us with a bunch of questions. One of the big ones is does Lena Luthor know that Kara is Supergirl? Kara has been pulling double-duty around Lena all season, doing her best to keep her newfound best friend in the dark. However, Lena is smart. So does that mean that she’s just been playing along, much like Cat Grant?
Executive Producer Andrew Kreisberg confirmed in an interview with TV Line that Lena does not know the truth “at the moment.” Actress Katie McGrath has been promoted to series regular for season three, so we can probably this secret to come to light next season. I was honestly surprised that she didn’t find out about Kara in the finale to set her up as an antagonistic force. She has suffered a lot at the hands of dishonesty and I wonder how she will handle the news that her best friend is an alien superhero.
Guess we’ll have to wait and see when Supergirl returns Monday, October 9, on The CW.
