Check out Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Dwayne Johnson in a new Rampage Set Photo

Since the film’s announcement, fans have been curiously excited about the birth of a Rampage film. Based off of a video game that we all know and love, a film starring Dwayne Johnson, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Jake Lacy, and Joe Manganiello – to name a few will debut in 2018. The video game – where you picked one ‘rampage’ monster and went wild to destroy cities and eat the inhabitants – while avoiding toxins and nuns, seriously, we tried to eat one once…was a hit. However, would a movie work?

Once we heard the premise, we were totally in.

‘Primatologist Davis Okoye (Johnson), a man who keeps people at a distance, shares an unshakable bond with George, the extraordinarily intelligent, silverback gorilla who has been in his care since birth. But a rogue genetic experiment gone awry transforms this gentle ape into a raging monster. To make matters worse, it’s soon discovered there are other similarly altered alpha predators. As these newly created monsters tear across North America, destroying everything in their path, Okoye teams with a discredited genetic engineer to secure an antidote, fighting his way through an ever-changing battlefield, not only to halt a global catastrophe but to save the fearsome creature that was once his friend.‘

Now, with an all-star cast and an awesome plot, we’ve been waiting to get some behind the scenes looks at filming and hear, from the stars, how the project is going. So far, we got to check out Dwayne Johnson’s birthday celebration – with a themed cake – and now he’s taken to Instagram to share a photo of himself and Jeffrey Dean Morgan.

The caption shows the pair, alongside Naomie Harris, and he gives us short descriptions of their characters. He’s an anti-poacher Ranger from Rwanda, she’s a geneticist from CRISPR, and Jeffrey is ‘the cowboy himself’ from the OGA – or the ‘other’ government agency.

The photo doesn’t give anything away, obviously, but it does show them all looking incredibly bad ass – but then again – when do they not?
