Frank Miller’s ‘Sin City’ Getting A TV Reboot

It’s been a while since we’ve seen anything new from the Sin City series.  In 1991, Frank Miller started producing the neo-noir comic series Sin City.  The most recent installment of the series titled Hell and Back was completed in 2000.  In 2005, Sin City was transformed into a captivating film which was followed by a sequel in 2014, Sin City: A Dame To Kill For and now, a new take on the comic series is currently in the works!

Frank Miller's 'Sin City' Getting A TV RebootDeadline reports that The Weinstein Company, along with Dimension Films, is in the process of developing a television reboot for the Frank Miller series.  Though not much detail is being shared just yet, Deadline reports the TV show will stay closely to the flow of the graphic novels with a bit of a fresh spin.  Glen Mazzara (The Walking Dead, The Shield, The Omen) has signed on a writer for the series.

Len Wiseman will direct.  Wiseman is best known for helming the film Underworld but also had television credits including Sleepy Hollow  and Lucifer.  Stephen L’Heureux, who was producer on the sequel film, Sin City: A Dame To Kill For, will also produce for the television adaptation of the series.

The Sin City films had a star-studded cast including Jessica Alba, Mickey Rourke, Bruce Willis, Josh Brolin, Rosario Dawson and Elijah Wood, just to name a few.  It is believed, however, that the television series will break away from the films and will introduce new characters, storylines and timelines within the same universe.

Currently, no network is attached to the project however, several are reportedly interested!
