Adriana Lima is Married – to Herself – and We are Loving It
Adriana Lima is absolutely stunning, she’s easily one of the most beautiful women in the world. More so than beautiful, Adriana is strong and empowering, she’s someone a lot of women look up to and she takes that responsibility very seriously.
As a career woman, she’s a model and a Victoria’s Secret Angel – their most valuable one at that – and she’s done acting work as well. As a person, she’s a mother, a friend, a daughter, and an inspiration. She’s always been well spoken, confident, and strong in her conviction and she recently made a statement that proved – once again – that being independent and loving herself are her top priorities.

She also ended the photo caption saying that she was single, signifying the end of her relationship with Matt Harvey which gained some attention earlier in the year due to a missed game on Matt’s part and some conversation that happened after. That’s not important, however, because Adriana didn’t let it get her down, and she’s also not letting the end of a relationship get her down.
In a society where women are constantly made to feel like they must fit certain molds to be successful, it’s hard to find solid ground to stand upon and it’s harder still to find confidence there. Loving yourself while being held against the insane standards that women are subjected to every day can be a challenge. With this photo, Adriana reminded all of us that if you commit yourself to making YOU happy, to loving yourself, and to putting your happiness first – that all that comes next will be better than you could have imagined.
Plus, who doesn’t love having something shiny and gorgeous on their finger? We are totally on board with Adriana’s post and we’re totally on board with the idea of being married to yourself first. Who knows, maybe we’ll buy ourselves a nice sparkly ring too.
