Nielsen Social Ratings: May 15 – May 21

Welcome to a new week! Time to check out Nielsen Social’s top 10.

ABC’s Billboard Music Awards that featured an amazing performance by Celine Dion, a tribute to Cher’s career, and Drake’s record-breaking wins topped the charts  this week with over 5 million interactions.

The Voice took both the number two and number four spots on the list this week with the 2017 NBA Draft Lottery taking the intermediate spot. Supernatural‘s two-hour season finale made it to the top 10 for the first time in quite some time, taking the number seven spot with almost 400,000 interactions.

Meanwhile, Shondaland’s finales for Grey’s Anatomy and Scandal landed in the top 10, with the doctor drama rounding out the list and the political drama coming in at number 8. And notably, Showtime’s Twin Peaks: The Return came in at number nine.

As a refresher: the Content Ratings use the total number of social interactions across Facebook and Twitter to rank the top 10 series/specials and sporting events, separately. The chart includes uniques, which are “unique social media accounts that have authored original content related to a linear TV episode or engaged with that content,” and interactions, which are “original social media posts related to a linear TV episode and the engagement with that content.”
