‘Pirates 5’: Paul McCartney Confirms Character with Poster
Yes, you read that right Pirates of the Caribbean and Beatles fans. Sir Paul McCartney confirmed Saturday via Twitter that he will have an role in the upcoming Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales film. The tweet was a character poster of himself in full pirate hair and makeup with a caption reading, #PiratesLife.
Disney confirmed, as well, by sharing the singer’s tweet to all of their social media pages. There has been no official confirmation as to what extent McCartney’s role will be but according to his IMDb profile, he is credited as “Jail Guard 2.”

McCartney is not the first musician to join the Pirate franchise. Keith Richards of the Rolling Stones played Jack Sparrow’s father, Captain Teague, in the third film, Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End.
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales will be in theaters on May 26th.
