New ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ Sneak Peek Clip Debuts During the MTV Movie & TV Awards

Viewers of the 2017 MTV Movie and TV Awards were in for a special treat when brand new footage from Spider-Man: Homecoming premiered on Sunday.  Film stars Tom Holland and Zendaya were on hand to introduce the new clip during the award show.

The new footage shows Tom Holland as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, sneaking back into his Queens, NY home, using his powers to be as quiet as possible, crawling along the ceiling to avoid making noise.  He, apparently, hasn’t quite gotten the hang of using his Spidey senses yet though, as he’s surprised by his friend Ned, played by Jacob Batalon, who was waiting for him in his room.

Peter Parker begs Ned to keep his secret just that, a secret but Ned is clearly ridiculously excited by the fact that this friend is THE Spider-Man.  Can he hang on to a secret this big??

The clip also gives us a look at Zendaya’s role who questions Peter when he has to abruptly leave what looks like a study group. “What are you hiding, Peter?” she asks. “I’m just kidding. I don’t care.”

The upcoming Spider-Man: Homecoming film contains a star-studded cast including Michael Keaton, Jon Favreau, Donald Glover, Tyne Daly, Marisa Tomei, and Robert Downey Jr., in addition to Holland and Zendaya.  The film is directed and co-written by Jon Watts, who is new to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Check out the awesome sneak peek clip below from MTV’s twitter account.  Spider-Man: Homecoming will be swinging into theaters on July 7th!
