Jeff Goldblum and Danny Devito Team Up for Comedy Series on Amazon
Amazon Studios is currently in developments with The Simpsons writer Tim Long for a new half-hour comedy series starring Jeff Goldblum and Danny Devito.
The following is the pitch:
“An iconic music duo from the past, Matt Downey (Goldblum) and Arlo Finkleman (DeVito), are forced to reunite despite their longstanding hatred for one another. As the talented but strong-willed pair attempt to reconcile, they turn to the people who somehow manage to love these two incandescent idiots—their wives, ex-wives, children, managers, friends and lovers—all of whom turn out to be as brilliant, infuriating, and frustratingly lovable as Matt and Arlo themselves.”
Brings back memories of some of the all-time greatest band feuds like Simon and Garfunkel and Oasis.
No word yet on whether or not this means that Devito’s time on the FXX series It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia is coming to an end. He previously hinted that he may exit the series after it’s next season.
Goldblum has been making quite the rounds in the news lately with the announcement of his return to the Jurassic Park franchise in the next film, Jurassic World 2 and then popping up in Sydney, Australia, serving sausages in a food truck!
