WATCH: A Young Lin-Manuel Miranda Singing ‘It’s Gonna Be Me’
Just when you thought you were safe from the *NSYNC and Backstreet Boys “May Memes,” Lin-Manuel Miranda comes along and stirs the pot up again.
Miranda shared an adorable video from his college days as Wesleyan University. In the video, the Hamilton creator was participating in the University talent show and, in true Miranda fashion, he was doing things his own way. Miranda’s talent was performing *NSYNC’s It’s Gonna Be Me as well as other pop hits such at Britney Spears’ Oops!… I Did It Again and Destiny’s Child’s Say My Name. Miranda, putting his own spin on things, performed the songs complete with a Latin-inspired flair added to the melodies.
At one point in the video, Miranda is even joined back back up dancers as they begin to salsa their way across the stage to the erupting sounds of cheering from the crowd.
