Blake Shelton calls Gwen Stefani ‘Tough’ After she Ruptures Eardrum

Gwen Stefani had a rough go after rupturing her eardrum on a flight from Los Angeles to Las Vegas. The injury kept her from a gig she had scheduled to perform at the 21st Keep Memory Alive Power of Love Gala.

However, even with a ruptured eardrum, she remained in high spirits over the weekend and posted some things on Instagram including some on the set of The Voice.

Take your kid to work day with a mom like Gwen must be pretty cool. Kingston seems to be enjoying it well enough.

ET spoke to Blake Shelton at a press junket for The Voice and he updated her, and fans, on Gwen’s condition and let us all know that she is getting better, but it’s a slow process to full healing. He also admits that he’s not quite sure how you blow your eardrum out, and we aren’t either, but it sounds painful. We don’t even love it when our ears pop on a plane.

“She’s getting better. Something like that is just slow, when you pop-blow your eardrum out, I don’t even know how that happens. But, she says she can hear now. She’ll be all right, she’s tough.”

We agree, Gwen is tough and we’re glad she’s feeling more like herself already. Being able to hear properly is kind of crucial for The Voice so she’s probably excited to be on the mend and to get back to work.

You can catch Gwen on The Voice on NBC. Oh, and Blake Shelton, Adam Levine, and Alicia Keys too!
