‘Arrow’ EP Tweets Behind the Scenes Deathstroke Photo
For those of us extreme Arrow fans, the news has just gotten even better. After a recent tweet from both Stephen Amell and Marc Guggenheim appeared on the internet, all forms of social media were tagged with hashtags, memes and fan photos of pure joy at the fact that Deathstroke would be returning to the Arrowverse, after years of being sorely missed.
The news of Deathstroke’s return is not only making waves amongst the fans, but with the Arrow cast, crew and production team as well. Marc Guggenheim celebrated the news by sharing a new image of Bennett in full Deathstroke gear:
The last time we saw Slade Wilson was in Season 3, back on Lian Yu. Malcolm Merlyn released Slade from his cell in the A.R.G.U.S prison as a test to prove that Oliver needed to gain back his ‘killer instinct’ in order to defeat Ra’s Al Ghul, the ‘big bad’ of Season 3. Now, how exactly Slade ends up back in action fighting side by side with Oliver is still unknown. All we know is that Oliver is clearly willing to do ANYTHING it takes to bring down Prometheus.
Executive producer Wendy Mericle recently teased this pairing by saying “The alliances are going to be very surprising. You’re not going to believe who Oliver is working with to defeat Prometheus. It’s going to be really emotional. It’s going to be all about Oliver’s family, but not the family we’re thinking of right now,” she said. “It’s going to end in a giant explosion, but not where we think it’s going to end, and the emotional punch is going to be bigger than the actual physical part of the bombs going off.”

Arrow will return on April 26th at 8PM/EST on The CW.
