Scream Queens’ Billie Lourd joins American Horror Story Season 7

American Horror Story has recruited Scream Queens star Billie Lourd for season 7. She is set to play opposite Sarah Paulson, who has already been cast in the Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk anthology.

The FX series is said to be election-themed this upcoming cycle and to begin the day after the election. Details regarding location, plot and characters are still being kept under wraps.

Besides Paulson and Even Peters, who were both cast last year, Lourd will be joining newcomer Billy Eichner, who will recur for the upcoming season.

Daughter of late actress Carrie Fisher and CAA managing director Bryan Lourd, Billie has already completed the second season of FOX’s Scream Queens but is not expected to return for a third. Fellow cast mates, including Lea Michele, have already been booked to do other projects. Scream Queens is also produced by Murphy and Falchuk.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Murphy had this to say regarding Season 7 of AHS and its theme:

“All of the stuff that I’m developing now is going to be about illuminating and highlighting people who don’t have a voice in our culture — people who are ignored by the current administration and who are afraid and feel terrorized that their lives are going to be taken away.”

No official date has been announced for the premiere of season 7 of American Horror Story, but when it does, you can catch all episodes on FX at 10 pm EST. Catch up on past seasons on FXNOW.
