Betty Cooper’s Reading List
‘Sup readers? Have you ever wondered what your favourite fictional characters might read if they could? Everyone knows Riverdale‘s Betty Cooper is a bookworm— in “Chapter One: The River’s Edge”, it’s revealed that while Archie spent his summer working for his dad (and banging his music teacher), Betty partook in an internship that involved helping to organize a book release for Toni Morrison, who is “her literary hero.” We’re betting with everything that’s going on (what with her shady parents being shady, her sister’s pregnancy, trying to solve Jason’s murder, and “Bughead” happening simultaneously) she hasn’t had much time to read. But once a book-lover, always a book-lover, so while she’s pressed for time (and sanity), we’re betting she has at least one novel cracked open, to help her decompress. We’ve made up a reading list, just for Betty:
In case the font is a little hard to read:
The Last Book She Read: The Trouble With Goats And Sheep by Joanna Cannon
Currently Reading: God Help The Child by Toni Morrison
Next On Her TBR Pile: A Madness So Discreet by Mindy McGinnis
A Book She’d Give Her Best Friend:
Simon Vs. The Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli (Kevin)
The Lifeboat Clique by Kathy Parks (Veronica)
