Black Sails: What We Know About The Final Season

Starz, the network known for bringing us the best in gritty other-worldly drama, has announced details on the final season of “Black Sails.” Fans of the pirate drama are undoubtedly sad to see it go, but producers have promised one last high-seas adventure for this “Treasure Island” prequel before it sails off into the sunset.

Set to premiere on Sunday, January 29th at 9 pm ET/PT, Season Four will run for 10 episodes and will follow Captain Flint, Eleanor Guthrie, Woodes Rogers, and Long John Silver as they mount one last battle to defeat English civilization and reclaim both Nassau and their way of life. Along the way, they’ll face off against more than just the Royal Navy. An insurgency is building from within the island while the pirates fight from without. Promises and hulls will be broken as hopes and ships are dashed. Both sides are fighting for their lives, and in the end, only one can emerge victorious. Will Flint and his crew reclaim their world, or will the English finally wipe away the scourge of piracy from the West Indies? Fans will simply have to tune in to find out.

Or will they? To help bridge the gap between now and premiere day, Starz has released the teaser trailer for Season Four. Click below to watch, and sound off in the comments about what you think it all means.
