Nielsen Social Ratings: January 9 – January 15

Another week, another set of Nielsen ratings. With the holiday, came a delay. But here they are!

It should come as no surprise that President Obama’s touching farewell address to the country took the top spot. Following the Presidential Address, came NBC’s This Is Us, which was recently renewed for an impressive two seasons.

Monday Night Raw took the number three spot while Smackdown Live found itself in the number seven spot.

Being Mary Jane’s season four premiere scored a spot in the ratings in the number six spot.

As a refresher: the Content Ratings use the total number of social interactions across Facebook and Twitter to rank the top 10 series/specials and sporting events, separately. The chart includes uniques, which are “unique social media accounts that have authored original content related to a linear TV episode or engaged with that content,” and interactions, which are “original social media posts related to a linear TV episode and the engagement with that content.”
