‘Pokemon Go’ Starts Rolling out Second Generation Pokemon
Fans of Pokemon have been anxiously awaiting the news, and now it is finally here! According to a report released earlier today by Nerdist, we’re close to getting creatures from Pokémon Silver and Gold in the Pokemon Go mobile game.
In a recent blog post, Niantic stated:
“Professor Willow has discovered Togepi and Pichu hatching from Eggs! Starting later today, Trainers will have the opportunity to hatch these and several other Pokémon that were originally discovered in the Johto Region in Pokémon Gold and Pokémon Silver video games. These are the first of more Pokémon coming to Pokémon GO over the next few months.”
So even though this Pokemon may not yet be available in the wild, Pokemon stops just got a lot more fun. Sure, it is always a pleasure to spin that disk-y thing around and see what you collect; but now that the news has spread that new Pokemon are available….can I get a YES!?
There’s no official word yet on what the “several other Pokémon” will be either, but we know that they’ll also be from the second generation of Game Boy games (Pokemon Gold and Pokemon Silver).
Now that we are officially into the Holiday Season, Niantic has introduced another surprise: In a move that mirrors the new headwear-bearing variations of Pikachu in Pokémon Sun and Moon, a Santa-hatted Pikachu can be found in all regions across the world.
Perhaps we will get to see the full swing of ‘Generation Two’ Pokemon as a kick off to 2017?
Stand by for some more updates!!
