NBC Passes on ‘Cruel Intentions’ TV Series

Bad news for fans looking forward to more Cruel Intentions.

NBC has passed on the series, according to Slash Film.

The Cruel Intentions sequel, which would have taken place 15 years after the film, would have seen Sarah Michelle Gellar reprise her role as Kathryn and attempt to take over Valmont Industries while also trying to control Sebastian and Annette’s son, Bash.

Two versions of the pilot filmed and screened by the network. There were rumblings about the series not necessarily ending up on NBC but on some form of a digital platform. Now that it’s going forward in any NBC capacity, Slash Film is reporting that there are some other outlets that have shown interest in bringing the show back.

Are you sad that we won’t be seeing Cruel Intentions coming to television quite yet?
