Chloe Grace Moretz Drops Out Of ‘Little Mermaid’ Live-Action Film

Chloe Grace Moretz and Hollywood have decided to take a break.

In a surprising turn of events, Moretz has decided to drop out of all her future film projects, including the live-action remake of Disney’s The Little Mermaid. “…I pulled the plug on all my movies because I want to reassess who I am and find myself within my roles again. I’m realizing I can slow down,” the actress explained.

Although Moretz has been acting since 2005, the nineteen year old got her big break playing Hit-Girl in 2010’s Kick-Ass alongside Aaron Taylor-Johnson as well as its sequel. Her other films include Let Me In, Hugo, Dark Shadows, If I Stay, The 5th Wave, and the 2013 remake of Carrie. Although her last film was Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising – which was released in May – Moretz’s next completed film Brain on Fire, is yet to be released officially, but premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival four days ago.
