‘Throwback Thursday’: The Sandlot

20th Century Fox

There are at least 3 reasons as to why I love doing these ‘Throwback Thursdays’. First, they’re just a lot of fun to do. Who doesn’t love remembering some pretty awesome things from their childhood? Second, ‘Throwback Thursdays’ are done on Thursday… which means Friday is only one day away. Third… did I mention that they are fun? Because they are! Here we are with another ‘Throwback Thursday’!! This week we are going to be talking about the movie The Sandlot.

The Sandlot is a 1993 American baseball comedic film, which tells the story of a group of young baseball players during the summer of 1962.Together, they get themselves into many adventures involving rival teams, lifeguards, and a ‘vicious’ dog. The cast consisted of: Tom Guiry, Mike Vitar, Karen Allen, Denis Leary and James Earl Jones.

The film taught us many lessons, including… what s’mores are, to always respect your lifeguards, to play for the love of the game, and also… don’t steal your father’s autographed baseball.

Who else remembers this movie?!
