Norman Reedus Ran To The Walking Dead Set Completely Naked
So, the world has ended. Zombies are everywhere. Your group goes over the plan to keep your community safe. Then, Norman Reedus comes running up naked asking for clothes and a gun.
That’s what happened on the set of The Walking Dead’s Season 6 premiere, “First Time Again.”
“Norman, this was the day that you ran up naked,” executive producer Greg Nicotero tells Reedus on the commentary DVD commentary for the episode. “Norman’s alarm didn’t go off and we put a [stunt] double in his wardrobe. And Norman refused and got to set, stripped his clothes off on his way to set, and got in the shot before we were ready.”
Such a moment doesn’t seem unusual given the happenings on the set of The Walking Dead. The tight knit cast regularly plays pranks on each other, such as Reedus filling Andrew Lincoln’s air conditioner with glitter and Lincoln’s failed retaliation, but running around in a birthday suit is new.
The Walking Dead’s Season 6 blu-ray features episode commentary from Nicotero, Reedus, showrunner Scott Gimple and others. In addition, it also includes several deleted scenes and an alternate version of Negan’s introduction complete with more than 20 F-words, truly delivering Robert Kirkman’s comic book version of the character to our TV screens.
The Walking Dead Season 6 is available on blu-ray and DVD on August 23, exactly two months ahead of its October 23 Season 7 premiere. For complete coverage, insider info, and more all season long, follow @BrandonDavisBD on Twitter and check out The Walking Dead on ComicBook.com on Facebook.
