David Mazouz Wants Clark Kent in Gotham

David Mazouz talked with IGN recently and mentioned he would love to see a teenage Clark Kent either be in an episode or at least referenced.

David Mazouz: I think it’d be really cool to have a young Clark Kent on the show. To have a 15-year-old Clark Kent. I know in Batman v Superman they played it like Metropolis and Gotham are twin cities, so it wouldn’t be that hard to take a boat ride over for Clark but…

the “but” was in reference to the fact that we now have a small screen Superman on the CW, so it is rather unlikely they could make that cross over happen. My favorite quote from Mazouz in the interview is “…Like I said, as a Batman fan, that would be awesome.” I would have to agree with David, as a Batman fan it would be awesome to see the titans as children together. There is a moment in one of my favorite comics Batman/Superman vol 3 a young Clark Kent meets young Bruce Wayne when Alfred and Bruce’s car breaks down. The kids play and Clark sees how lonely Bruce is while Bruce realizes how strong Clark is. This flash back takes places for the Earth 2 Bats/Sups, who as grown ups are great friends and an incredible super hero duo. While the Earth 1 Bats/Sups aren’t crazy about each other.

While having a nod to such a cool comic book moment would break my little batman heart, Mazouz is okay with a smaller nod,

David Mazouz: …Going back to the Superman, you know, Clark Kent as a teenager saves a busload of kids from drowning, right? It would just be really cool to just start a scene in the GCPD and just pan, like start on a newspaper that says, 15-year-old boy in Metropolis saves busload of kids from drowning. And then just pan up and have a regular scene that has nothing to do with the … throw a little hint..

Our baby batman is wise, even in the arrow verse long before we got Flash and Supergirl we were getting hints that there was an extent to this universe that we had yet to see. It is most likely that if Gotham is going to see anything outside the Batmanverse it would probably be in small steps.
