American Horror Story Season 6 premiere is just about a month away and, just when we thought we were getting a preview of what terror we might encounter in this upcoming season, show creator Ryan Murphy and FX pulls an Ashton Kutcher on us an tells us we are being Punk’d.

The mysterious Season 6 premise has been shrouded in secrecy with little information, other than a few cast members, being released to the public.  Approximately two weeks ago, creepy and pretty awesome teasers began to be released on Snapchat and, later, on FX and AHS’s other social media platforms.  Check out the compilation video below:

On Tuesday, FX CEO John Landgraf broke the news during the Television Critics Association’s summer press tour that, of all the teasers that were released, only one of them holds the key to the Season 6 theme.  Landgraf said:

“Every year, we lay out the themes and the new genre Ryan is going to be approaching; we thought it’d be fun [this year] to keep it a mystery – so we are…. There are many more trailers than you’ve actually seen for hypothetical seasons of American Horror Story – different genres, different places. One of them is accurate; the others are all misdirects.”

So, it looks like we will just have to continue waiting in order to find out what creepy and twisted tales Murphy and FX have in store for us in Season 6.  American Horror Story‘s new season premieres September 14th at 10pm EST on FX.
