Yesterday, we reported that actor Anton Yelchin was tragically killed in a car accident at his home, and while his fans and Hollywood continue to mourn the loss of the young star, none are doing so more than the cast and crew of Star Trek.

Karl Urban, who plays Bones, was the first to comment, tweeting “I can’t believe it, I m fckn hurting bad.”

Earlier today, the actor posted a photo to Instagram with the caption “Anton was such a beautiful , gentle soul . He sought out new life experience with an unabated passion. He was edgy , incredibly talented and beautifully knowledge . His smile was radiant and mischievous . Truly an old soul in a young man’s body . He was a loving son . He then tweeted, “Please send your love to Anton’s family right now. They need it.”

Justin Lin, director of Star Trek: Beyond, tweeted his disbelief over the actor’s death, saying “Still in shock. Rest in peace, Anton. Your work will live on with everyone that had the pleasure of knowing you.”

And finally, J.J. Abrams penned this heartbreaking note, which was posted on Bad Robot’s official Twitter:

Chris Pine has yet to comment on Anton’s passing, though understandably, he is in mourning and seems to be a very private person, so it is probably unlikely that he will do so for the time being.

Along with Star Trek: Beyond, Anton leaves behind several unreleased films and series, such as the animated series Trollhunters from Guillermo Del Toro, which is set to premiere in December, and Thoroughbred, a psychological thriller. Yelchin had also recently completed filming on the sci-fi drama Rememory, alongside Peter Dinklage. In addition, two of his indie films are waiting to be released: We Don’t Belong Here and Porto.
